Blackjack is a game that evokes images of a crazy ride. It is a game that starts out slowly, but gradually picks up speed. As you ramp up your bank roll, you feel like you are making moves to the top of the coaster and then when you least expect it, the bottom collapses.
Blackjack is so remarkably like a roller coaster the similarities are bizarre. As is the case with the popular amusement park experience, your blackjack game will peak and things will appear to be going great for awhile before it bottoms out once again. You most certainly have to be a bettor who can readjust to the ups … downs of the game simply because the game of black jack is full of them.
If you like the tiny coaster, a coaster that will not go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way you can enjoy the crazy ride is with a fatter bet, then jump aboard for the coaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The big spender will love the view from the monster wild ride because they are not thinking on the drop as they rush head first to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in black jack, but very few players adhere to it. In black jack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it’s going up, that’s awesome, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to flip and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.
If you don’t, you might not necessarily recall how much you enjoyed the good life while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a crazy fun ride … your head in the sky. As you are recounting "what ifs", you won’t always remember how "high up" you went but you will remember that catastrophic fall as clear as day.
