I have enjoyed countless of rounds of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have played online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of cash at chemin de fer. The gambling dens have made it almost impossible to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a regular basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this tactic or defeat the casino, however you will experience an abundance of fun. This method is based on the fact that chemin de fer seems to be a match of streaks. When you are hot your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original amount.
I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets extremely fun at times. If you win a few hands in a row your bets go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Wynn a few years back with $750 after 45 mins using this technique! And a number of weeks ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can say good-bye to a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be astonished at the runs you notice playing this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Wager $5
Take $5 paid to you, leave the original 5 dollar bet
Wager five dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $10
Bet ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original ten dollar wager
Bet $10
Leave $10 paid to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Bet $20
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the original twenty dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the first 40 dollar bet
Bet 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total bet of $80
Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the original eighty dollar bet
Wager eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of $160
Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 1 hundred and sixty dollar wager
If you departed at this point you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It’s hard to go on a streak this long, but it does happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and drop your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
