I have gambled on millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have played online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still spent all kinds of cash at vingt-et-un. The gambling dens have made it almost impossible to defeat the house.

I still like the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a variation of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get flush with this method or defeat the casino, still you will experience an abundance of fun. This method is built on the idea that vingt-et-un appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your on fire, and when you’re not you are NOT!

I play basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the wager back down to the original bet.

I am very strict and never back out. It gets extremely fun on occasion. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had great streaks a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a number of years back with $750 after 20 minutes using this tactic! And a few months ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!

You have to understand that you can squander a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the streaks you witness wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a $5 game.

Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial $80 bet

Wager eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of $160

Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the first 160 dollar bet

If you departed at this moment you would be up $315 !!

It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and drop your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
